Can any one tell if I can fit a steering damper from 07 YZ450F to a 08 model? I read the frame is a tad bit lighter (read - changed) and the guys in the shop told me the dampers for the 08 bikes will be available in a month's time.

The bike is arriving on the weekend and it's the first 08 model around....

That's the info I've seen. The area behind the steering head has changed enough that Scotts has to come up with a new pin anchor bracket for the '08, and they say it should be done in a month.

I got the same info as Greyracer after speaking with Scotts a couple of weeks back, so I'm axiously waiting.

How is the riding in Russia?
