they sent you the wrong fuel screw....that may very well be from a 250f

The 250F takes the same screw as the 450. Some of the early YZ400's had a different one, though.

if you check in the jetting section most of the aluminum fuel screws are not machined to the right size, they recomend the brass ones. I too purchased a pro cercuit fuel screw and it is too short also. The bike wont cut out when the screw is fully turned in, Ive re-installed the stock brass.
