A few more helmet-cam videos of my XR650R in the desert with a buddy on a KTM950.

The first one is mixed small dunes and flat areas, the second is fsater sand tracks, no dunes.

I think this kind of terrain is what the pig loves the most...

With the way you ride thats what I would of expected! ? Just kidding. Nice vids. The Ktm does seem to be leaving you. Next time show us some video of you pushing him. You are on a honda 650r. That ktm has now got me interested.

The KTM 950 is DEFINITELY leaving me!

He's been riding in desert for 15 years, me for about 6 months. Give me another few years and I'll maybe keep up with him. By following his tracks I avoid those freaky drop-offs that u cant see until you're over the edge...

I still haven't figured how he does dunes on a 950

Great video.... I love the way the pavement road turns and you go straight into the sand. Awesome.

What's the huge grate in the road as the pavement ends? Is that something to help prevent sand from being tracked back onto the pavement?

Music isn't so bad. It's a nice change from the screaming death anti-christ music on alot of vids on youtude these days. What ever happened to the good old hard music like VanHalen,Guns'N'Roses,FooFighters,etc. ?

the grate is to stop camels getting onto the freeway.

hitting a camel is no fun i believe.

nice vid..i used to play around with my xr600r on the woods and ocasionaly on sand duned on the beach or near the water..its fun but quickly gets boring..nothing like closed,dense woods...green and tight..? but nice video:thumbsup:

Man I love your videos! I saw one of the other ones you posted a month or so ago, really liked that one two. Pretty funn to be riding and see camels! My wife laughed when she saw that one. Oh and by the way- love the scripture verse and the Music:ride:

Different Desert..........

Yucca Valley, California. You can see the Yucca Trees. This video is when we were just setting up the helmet cam. Mr. Lewis lost a tooth in this ride and slammed on the brakes to see if he could find it. I almost hit him.

Here is a longer video of a much faster pace ride in Yucca Valley. The XR650R's get well over 90mph on the fire roads in this Yucca Filled desert. If you watch close you can see the rabbit run in front of the lead bike. The fender of the bike that is videoing gets in the picture as the front tire is lifted, as the back bike gets to close to the lead bike going up the hill, with it's tire off the ground it's time to make a choice between hitting the front bike, running into a choya cactus or bailing off. It's a twenty Meg video.
