01 426 crank ??

does any company make an aftermarket crank for the 426 i can not find one and an oem one is around 400 will a 450 crank work i did a quick search but didnt find anything please help

bearing ceized up and i figured it would be a whole lot easyer to go with a new crank

i couldnt find one for a 426 tho

New crank is 329 at the TT store. Unfortunately, 450 won't work, and neither wiseco or hot rods makes one for the 426s.

A rod is 41 bux, pin is 25 bux, and bearing is 35 bux...add 125 to rebuild and true the crank, and you're looking at 225 to rebuild what you've got.

If you have the extra money, its easier and faster just to drop in a new crank. They are $300 at this place. http://www.crotchrocket.com

Yup...ready to throw in. That's the route I went when I rebuilt my 426. I needed an entire crank half (the splines for the primary drive gear were all dicked up), so the difference between orderuing parts and having presswork done and buying the whole new crank was even less.

I paid $289 from Luke's racing. He gives a killer oem Yamaha discount. Nobody makes an aftermarket crank for the 426. The primary drive nut lock washer on my bike had not been folded over from the factory allowing it to back off a little. Yea, jack up alot of stuff. It did not lead to the engine failure but made an annoying ticking noise that I could not figure out until my rod bearing gave up the ghost. Inspect all part very throughly. Goood luck!!

i have no idea how many hours are on the bike i picked it up for 500 bucks i assume it ran out of oil becuz it took almost a quart and a half before it was onto the stick but lets say i spend another 500 rebuilding it its still a sick ass deal so im pumped that i got it for such a good price
