Has anyone had a problem with their stock Clarke gas cap being too restictive with air flow causing the carb not to get enough air?

Not at all and I have a section of gas line hose running from the cap down the frame. When the motor is showing those symptoms have you tried losening the cap to prove thje problem is your cap?

Roger that. I replaced the Clarke cap with my original Honda gas cap and it stopped the engine stuttering. I will give Clarke a call and request an exchange on the gas cap. Thanks

I did have an issue with the inline vent in my clark tank but not the gas cap itself.
