I am about to do some welding on the frame on a wr400 -99. I'm concerned about damageing the electrics or something else. Is there any precautions that need to be done. Can anybody help

If you are worried about the electrics being damaged, remove them.
Otherwise, just make sure you run your ground right next to where you are welding.

Make sure you unplug your stator or you could burn it out, also CDI to be safe.

I found out the hard way years ago on a XR600. Can't help to be safe, might save you a few bucks
