OK guys so I ordered a Pro Circuit linkage arm for my '08 KX450F (I called PC and they said it uses the same model as the '07 KX450F) and it's here waiting to get put on.

The biggest reason I wanted to give it a try is because it's said to lower the rear .47" .

My question is this; if I already have my fork clamp position set at 12mm will I need to raise it even further after the PC linkage install?

TIA for your answers and feel free to offer any other advice on this!! :ride: :ride: :ride: :ride: :ride: :ride: :ride: :ride:

Have you purchased the PC link yet? If not, I have an extra one for you $75 bucks, we split the shipping.

But going back to your question, I ran the forks 12.5mm up and ran my High speed compression out 1.25-1.50. This raised the back slightly more to compensate for the drop the linkage produced. If you are running stock suspension, you will really like the difference it makes.

Hi VET. I appreciate the offer. I knew you had one for sale but I wanted to start out with virgin bearings so I didn't lose any sleep at night. That's a good deal though and someone should take you up on it. I reckon a good de-greasing and re-greasing would put it back to like-new again. I did have mine here already and got it put on this morning.

Yeh, I'm running stock valving with Race Tech springs. I think the paperwork that came with the PC linkage said to raise the forks 3mm; that would put me at 15mm. I wasn't shure if raising them more was a must or not. I suppose I'll give it a try at 12mm, where I'm currently at, and see how it goes. It's about time for me to re-check my sag too.

Just to update.....I finally got to ride it today and I could def tell the front end felt higher and I felt a little "out-of-balance". I'm going to try raising the fork tubes 3 more mm; I'll be at 15mm but with the PC linkage arm it should be right. Probably won't have too many more riding opportunities this year though with colder weather setting in. :ride: :ride: :ride:
