Well me and my dad and the rest of my family have been a die hard Honda family. Well my dad is getting a new bike. We ere se t buy a new 08 CRF450R. But I head second thoughts. I'm really considering buying the 08 KX450F over Honda. What do you all think. I'ver never ever owned anything other than a Honda. Is it a good decision. I think the Kaw's are really sweet. I just don't know. What I do know I my firends will give me hell once they find out I got a KXF over a CRF. lol. But I don't care as long as I made a good decision as in reliability, power and benefits. Any help would be appreciated

Tell you what. Make the trip down to NC and you can ride my KX. You'll forget all about Honda.

I went from riding Hondas to my 07 KX450F and I love the thing. You wont be disappointed, why not try something new? I definitely wouldnt worry about what my friends had to say about MY bike, once you ride it you wont be able to care any less about their critique haha. GET THE KAWI!

Thanks you all. Well I'm the fastest out of all my friends. So I guess it doesn't matter. lol. But I have wanted to make the switch for awhile. So I think Kawi will be my final decision. I guess we will find out tomorrow or Friday. That's when we're going to pick one up. I can't wait.

Another reason not to buy a honda is that they support the sierra club

That alone would be reason enough for me to stop riding red. :prof:

But that's not why we switched. We switched because we were tired of replacing valves every 10-20 hours on our 250F. Now we just ride and do regular maintainance. :ride:

...and if something does happen, Kawi has the absolute best reputation of taking care of you! Plus the best contingency plan out of all the brands. The choice is rather simple if you ask me...:prof:

Well that's cool. I'm a Honda rider and I even admit Honda's customer service really sucks. I know that first hand. What's the "sierra club"?

They are against us. Notorious for trying to and succeeding in using little obscure bugs and endangered species to lock us out of riding areas.

Had 2008 KXF450 for 3 days now. I turned 50 yrs old in June, have been racing mx 39 yrs. Own a local engine & suspension tuning co. Very sensitive rider, I ride light on a bike (Finesse rider). +40 +45 Ga. state champ. 2006-2007 Can’t post the price.

My Evaluation
1.Light & crispy turning at all speeds. leaves jump faces and fly’s with a light feeling.
2.LOTS OF RAW TORQUE!!! (BAM)
3.FMF 4.1 smoothes her out and helps her out pull long. (only pipe I had to test with)
4. Shifts noticeably better.
5. Smoother suspension than last 2 years with firm midstroke reduces bottoming. (a little too firm for the old guy) i prefer a more compliant dancing partner. Installing new valving and -10lbs. of Ti parts today and testing. Should be no problem to make this a wonderful bike in all categories.

Thanks Kawasaki for not going the wrong direction for 2008...I have seen it done in the past.

Sierra Club ----> Environmental Wackos....

I nearly killed myself of a "Turtle fence"... They wanted to make sure the tortises(SP?) wandered in the correct direction so they pit up a short one foot fence. The fence went across a trail I have been riding for years..so i didnt expect anything to be there. I got stopped just in time....didnt hit the fence hard enough to knock me off my bike....I was pissed... Now I carry wire cutters when I go riding..

Honda supports the Sierra Club?

Ill never ride another CRF..that settles it

You will be much happier with the Kawi. It turns much better and feels just as light. The only thing I would say the the honda has is the stock gearing is not as close as the Kawi therefore you have to shift more on the Kawi...but this is nothing that a rear sprocket can't change. You will be happy...you can take my word on it!!!:ride:

Well, I just heard that they support the Sierra Club as well and my honda is for sale. The Sierra Club is behind many land closures where we all ride.
