The XR650R Jacket

Recommended Posts

Hey, what do you think of my jacket? I designed it, and had it tailor made when I was in Bali this summer.

Kind of made a mistake with the lettering, the lettering could have done with being more on the outside of the arm. It isn't that visible when the arm is bent. Definately can't change bikes for a while now:ride:

I like your enthusiasm. Your bike looks brand new! Killer dual sport helmet too.

I don't know if I would wear that jacket though. I would probably get my ass kicked. Then again, I'm not 6'8" which probably helps with a jacket like that.

Billahjack, why would you get your ass kicked for wearing a jacket like that in Cali ? Yeah, my bike looks new, but I have 10,000 kl/m on the clock.

Frogman, the bike has had the basic uncorking done: straight through muffler tip, carb manifold replacement piece thingy (sorry, not very technical) , and jetting.

I bought some bar raisers, but the cables would not reach, so I need to get some cables in the future, and sort out the handle bars.

Billahjack, if anyone kicks your ass over there, let me know. I have a load of cousins in Bakersfield, and Stockton. LOL

LOL Small Red Pig ???

Thanks for the comments.

Actually I really like how understated the XR is when advertising its engine size.

Unlike off road bikes of the past, or present for that matter, the XR only has that little 650 sticker on the side of the shroud. To the uninitiated it could be a 250, or 400. With me on the bike, people think it's a 125 !!

But you twist that throttle, and you know what.

Yes, without a doubt that is a nice jacket but, there is noway I could get away with wearing that here is So. Cal.

It's a dirt thing, you wouldn't understand. Doesn't make the jacket any less, just a different way of thinking. I like your idea and agree with where the lettering is and should be but, at least you stepped out and make something cool. You next jacket will even be better. One of the reasons it costs so much to figure somethig out.
