What's the deal with this setup? Do I have to use the tray if I get a replacement bag from an EBAY seller (I know they are crap, but the case is Honda stopped making these years ago, and I can't find NOS or original anywhere)

The bags on EBAY look OK but none have the plastic base riveted on like mine seems to be.

Anyone encounter this issue, and what did you do?

Dude K.I.S.S. keep it simple stupid:bonk: if you dont have the oem one, just make something out of a thick flat piece of plastic or just use some big fender washers. You really only need to reinforce the are where the bolts go through the fabric. good luck.

yeah, that was my next move, but I was trying to keep it as stock as possible. Maybe I'll get the cheapy bag, use the holes already in the fender and mount it like you said. When/if I sell it, I'll put the old bag back on.:applause:
