Just wondering how our Kawi boyz did this year racing. Most everyone is winding down for the season, how was your results? Did you meet your goals?

It's time to brag, so let it out!

Very nice...

I had 5 overall wins out of 10 races (MX) this year in the Vet-Pro. Won my second state championship in a row, pretty happy with my riding. I had 2 new guys (both just turned 30) move into the class, 1 is a former national rider back in his hay day, and the other is a multi Montana state 250 pro champion back in his hay day. but I really had to step up my game this year, that is for sure! I only raced a handfull (maybe 4) of the 250 Pro races (those kids are brutal and mean!) so I think I placed around 12th for the year.

I think next year I am going RC style to spend some more time with the "Fam" and travel out of state a little more...

Congrats vetmx and all! While I didn't race "officially" I did win most of my challenges from other riders at the trails and tracks....if that counts for anything.....:excuseme:

Made my first ever MX race (okay, it was a amateur one...) but i had a great time. I participated in MX1 class (i have a '06 KX450F) never expected to resist the practice session plus the hole 3 motos (moto1, moto2 and elite moto...wow first race and joined the elite race!:applause: ). It was great and the bike ran flawless. Been racing ocasionally in cross country events occasionaly, and lots of road racing, but, I'm already looking forward to my next MX race!

I was doing really well with my qualifiers in NE region and I decided to go and run the ME region qualifiers. They had a practice day Friday (Fast Traxx) and a Vet moto on Sat. which was a practice race for the qualifier on Sunday. I went into the first turn on Sat. and someone went down and caused me to go down, and as I was trying to get up another rider drove his foot peg into the back of my helmet and it was lights out for me. I don't remember the race, ambulance, or the Hospital. So that was the end of my riding and practicing till two weeks before the Regional at Unidilla and being I did not ride for five weeks my results showed, 13th did not cut it. Then after that I cased a triple, went over the bars and seperated my collar bone (AC seperation). I sat out another 5 weeks, so needless to say I can not wait till this year is over and I can start fresh next year! I am all healed up and ready for some off season training!

Geezus, that is horrible! Those AC seperations are a B*tch. I had friend that has the funky lump thing now on his shoulder and say's that it bothers him pretty bad some days. Heal up take it easy and see ya next year...

Oh BTW, stay away from triples, I figured once I turned 30, there was no reason to do those, I just make it up in the corners!

Amen to that!
I also had a horrible year. I got one first, two seconds and a third and then disaster struck in the form of kidney stone surgery, a slipped disk in my lower back and a few other various ailments and illnesses.
I would simply like to complete one entire series next season.
