I have been thinking about converting my 400 into a street leagal Motard or a Dual Sport bike. If I do this I was going to buy another dirt bike. Anybody have any suggestions on what to do or what not to do? If I Motard my bike where is the best place to get rims, brakes, etc. :worthy:

I see an awful lot of newish, low mileage motards in the classifieds here and any bike site I visit. I like them a lot and thought about converting the 650R I had at the time. (I still think it's the perfect base).
But after watching multiple guys build them up (spending$$$$$) and then selling a few months later it seems pretty clear that the use/appeal is limited.
DS makes a lot more sense. But then it isn't always about making sense, is it.
