I have a strange dilemna, I have 3 ways to go. What would you all recommend:

1) Stock forks sprung to my weight with an eibach spring, SRC brace and skins, (Have the SRC stuff already, long story) shim stack mod, maybe revalve later.

2) Marzocchi forks, not that sure about how they are sprung, they look to be in good shape and I like the gold wheels and hubs that are with them. They are on an XR400 that I bought with a blown motor.

3) Inverted, I bought some inverted CR forks over a month ago on the auction site, before I got the above forks. I have the triples and the stem is supposed to be machined already. I got the forks very cheap, but now the seller is really coming up lame and I may have to go after him. Note to self, if they don't take PayPal, don't buy from them.

I noticed on my other bike that I sold when I was ill that inverteds made the bike really tall, so I am not sure I still want to go that route. I'm leaning toward 1 or 2.

Any thoughts? I've heard from a few people that the Marzocchi forks are excellent, but I have no experience in that arena.

They are using Applied gunmetal triples top and bottom with steering stops drilled into them.

I'm not sure what they were originally from. They are on a '96 XR400 that threw a rod. It has an Ohlins shock and the Marz's so I bought it. I'm told the forks are pretty good though, so I'm tempted to mount them and give them a go.
