I am looking to get something with the magic button as my right knee is getting worse with age. I've got a line on a local DRZ that needs a little TLC but the XR has got to go first. The XR has been a great bike and someone will enjoy it for a long time.

BTW it's for sale here too!

Sorry to see you XR for sale......I didn't think you were getting out of the sport. You still need to stop by the XR forum to share your knowledge with with the rest of us.
The new KTM & Huskys have magic buttons also.

No way I'm getting out of our sport, I've been riding for too long to throw in the towel now! Just gonna get one with the button and keep on riding.

I'll be sure to stop in for a chat from time to time, we have a good group of people here don't we. :worthy: Oh if only I could afford a new bike, it would be a KTM more than likely but the Husky looks good to, decisions, decisions!

Gotta go used for now but that's OK, I know I can get a good one, just gotta check them out well.

I hear you $7,000 for a new bike then another $1,500 to $2,000 for all the mods.

"It is only $150.00 per month"..........That is what my brother always says when I talk about a new 450X.

Good luck with the sale and purchase of your new bike........Maybe next year I will see you in KM with your new BIKE with a magic button.

Well, the bike has sold and it will be picked up Tuesday. Now the fun begins in looking for it's replacement!

Then depending on what I get depends on what forum I will belong to. See ya.

Hi eric i used to own a 2000 xr 400 awsome bit of kit .
On the standard uk model i had it was 14/45 used to do 90 flat out on road up hill , 2 up any where but off road it laboured and some times stalled in1st in slow sections , so i went to a 13 front , wow what some poke, wheely of the throtle 1st, 2nd, 3rd at higher reves ,top end now 80 mph but on the track i did not stall hardly ever again.

Well, the buyer came by last night and looked the XR over for an hour asking all kinds of questions. Then he took it for a spin around the neighborhood and when he got back he had a huge grin on his face and I asked him "so what do you think?"

His answer was simple, "let me get the money out of my truck!"

He gave me the $$ and we did the paperwork and it was done. Then we talked for a while more and he went away very happy with the knowledge that he got a great bike and I got a new riding buddy!

Now it's on to Saturday!! Wish we luck!!
