That was nice to have the bikes part all condenced into one video!

We were down pre-running the 2004 Baja 250 out of SanFelipi and run into JC just getting ready to run some of the course. My Teen kidz were with me and he was the best anyone could ever be. TURNED OFF HIS BIKE and got off, talked to all the kids, signed all kinds of stuff, actualy listened to each one as they asked question and gave the best answer he could (Some questions just don't make sense, kids are stoked that they are talking to "The Man" and things just don't come out right). It was worth $100 to me for the ten minutes that he spent with my kids. He is the best!

My youngest still has his poster with his signature on it, hanging on his wall.

Yes, it always brings a smile when they show #1 cutting the course and running the beach.

Back in the late '70s my dad would take us to the Supercross at the Astrodome and we could always figure out a way to sneek down into the pits. I met alot of the top riders of the time(Barnet, Glover, Ward, Hannah..etc...) and they were always eager to spend a little time answering our questions. They were all nice to us. Then looting starting getting bad:thumbsdn: and security put a clamp on the pits and it got next to impossible to get down there but we still managed.

I would like to see a revised 650R that uses the same frame, the TRX700 686cc cylinder but no fuel injection, a set of fat upside down forks, minimalist road legal gear like a 2007 KTM 525EXC with a bright road-going headlight, electric start, and try to offset the added weight somehow to keep it under 290 pounds dry.

IT's coming.... but not in 2008... talked to the sales manager at my local honda shop at the races last weekend. He just came back from the dealer show and asked the head honchos about what they were doing for the xr replacement..

they said "It's coming". No details on the bike but expect a new model in 2009 which will be a banner year new bike releases from Honda

"It's coming" could mean several years down the road. They were testing watercraft for more than ten years before they finally came out with one. I sure hope that it's not true in this case. They are no dummies either. They are seeing the sales figures that KTM and Husky are getting for the large thumpers. I'm really hoping for a large displacement fuel injected bike that meets 2010 street emissions. Perhaps two models a hotter off road version and a plated one. I hope they can keep it under 300 pounds.
