polished clutch and ignition covers

I dont remember but i thought i saw a write up somewhere from someone on how to do this (kj790?) i tried to search but didnt have much luck if someone could tell me how to do it or send me the link thatd be great!

This might be the one you're looking for. It doesn't really tell you how to polish them though. Fist get all of the old paint off of the covers (sanding or using paint stripper). Then use finer and finer sand paper and then steel wool. Keep working your way to finer sand paper. Then hit them with a little metal polish and a rag and they will shine like a mirror. Once you have polished them it only takes a minute or two to touch them up with some metal polish when they start looking dull.
