honda has this machine,that would be a awesome motor for a new 2009 xr650l.

See this thread ( http://www.thumperta...ad.php?t=549645 ) and HawkGT's quote from Honda regarding the PTO/countershaft sprocket position. Dunno if adapting this engine is a minor or a major change for a 2-wheeled vehicle...

I hope they don't use a 700cc electric motor in the xrl. I'd gladly take a 700cc engine with an electric starter motor though.:thumbsup:
