Just wondering what type of oil all the C'dale owners are using. I am currently running Belray Gear Saver oil in the tranny and Honda HP4 for the engine. I called C'dale and they put in Golden Spectro oil stock. I'm currently looking to switch to Redline synthetic oil, but was looking for some opinions on this subject. Any advice or opinions would be appreciated. :)

I'm a Pure Power distributor so I'm biased. I run our 10-30 in the motor and 80-90 in the trans. I'm going to use 20-20 in the motor next service.
Our oils are non-synthetic with a TBN of 13 to 21. They work well with wet clutches too.

there is NO reason why you can't run Mobil 1 15w50 in both halves of this engine. i know i would. i think that is what john was gonna go with when he called me from wal-mart.

fyi, gear oil weights (80w) are not the same as motor weights (ie. 10w30).

Yep, Mobile 1 Trisynthetic 15w50. If you are going to use Mobile 1 use this one only. It has a red cap and is the only one without friction modifiers in it.

I've used it on 2 rides now and it works great.
