The operative word here is "older" motorcycles. They do not offer current year owner/ "workshop" manuals on this site, except for purchase. A manual comes with every new motorcycle.

I got my WR used so no manual. My FZ1 came with an owner's manual but that was like a little booklet with maintenance schedules and minor service information, not a service manual. I had to buy both manuals from Yamaha.

There is a true shop manual for each bike Yamaha makes that does differ from the Owner's manuals. But, Yamaha provides 90% of the same information to their retail customers buying their competition model dirt bikes, so they're quite a bit ahead of the other guys.
