I think I'm riding wth the former TTer Baja, I would tell you what we're driving but I'm worried about the "most fun i've had with clothes on" comment

So much for keeping the dust down, :p , but had a riot, one of the most tech. trails of the year and was a blast !

I agree with Bungle nice having some technical riding but the dust was horrible

See a couple of gnarly get offs down a couple of the hills but no one was hurt, the Maquoketa race is suppoe to be another nice and long course with some technical riding also.

Weld it

Most Excellent course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dust, yeah that sucked but cant have it all. Arrowed excellent, open spots, tight stuff, good for spectators great job to anyone involved.

One thing I have to say PARADE LAPS ARE STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know you dont have to do it but all that does is delay the race at least 45 minutes. I thought that not being able to preride the course was one of the things that Hare Scrambles have been known for. Not to mention that pristine first section that had not been ridden on when I walked it, only to get blown open with the parade lap. I dont want to piss anyone off but please if it is not required for insurance or some other important reason, drop the parade lap.

Almost didnt go, glad I did.

I'll second the parade laps are stupid! When did the parade lap thing start?Does everybody do this or is it a wfo thing?I too would rather "go in" blind, its how hare scrambles are supposed to be (well that and 2 hours instead of a 1 1/2 moto).Hats off to dave edsal and skip hardesty on the trail, they put in 10 days each dave said of trail work.Job well done!To bad they didnt get as much rain as we got at work in normal friday night,Oh well, you'll have that.
took a flying leap off that drop-off between the two log crossings, front stuck in a tree root or something and flipped me right over. That took some of the wind out of my sail.

well put, i agree with everything you said. i think they should do away with parade laps and add that time that it wastes onto the race. kudos to the guys who laid out the trail, it was pretty fun. the dust sucked but not much use in complaining about it.
