try the midwest forum, there are tons of threads on this, but some close ones are Fox Valley Off Road, Buffalo Range, Joliet MX, Megacross (in mendota only races tho) Motoland is to the east and Walnut and Mt. Carroll are way out west, im probably forgetting some but those are the big ones that i can think of.

Yep, that's a good start. Byron Motosports Park is in Byron, just north of DeKalb, and Ki Tracks is just a little bit west of there.

If you're looking for a great MX track, you have to check out Walnut (Sunset Ridge MX.)

South of Chi town...Joliet mx (www.jolietmx.com). SX MX tracks on the same facility and night practices. I'm a big fan

If you are going all the way to Byron---- I suggest Rocky Glen in Rockford. You don't need an AMA card there, there are some pretty good trails, and I personally like their track. Not a lot of jumps, definitely a good practice track.

Busy... track usually gets rough and rutted... but that's expected for a national track.... Can be a little intimidating for beginner riders... usually on open ride days you can ride both the pro track and the night track too. I personally really enjoy riding Red Bud, and think everyone in the area should ride there at least once! :ride:
