The Good News:
Matt and I were talking this past Saturday (while enjoying the hell out of Union...man, you guys missed out! :p ) that we need to do Bluff Creek. We were thinking a day trip.

- 3 hours to get there (departure of 5 - 6am Saturday)
- Ride 'till lunch. Grill some kind of previously furry animal.
- Ride, Ride, Ride
- Leave somewhere around 4 - 6pm (depending on injuries to bike or self)
- Die hard campers can stay, but my son and I will be coming back to the BigO that night.

Obviously, it'd be nice if we could do our best on commitments and get some car pooling going on. However, if everyone wants to bring their own vehicle...that's cool too. You never know if you might have to leave before others due to injury, breakdown, unexpected family situations, or you're just plain old pooped and wanna go home. No problem there. Everyone give it some thought.

Does anyone out there know how DNR is on spark arrestors/noise at BC? I have an '06 450R with stock exhaust (no spark arrestor.) Will I be okay?

Well, as much as I'd like to make the trip... It's not going to happen. :censored:

We met with the real estate agent yesterday and set a goal of Sept 4 for putting the house on the market and I have a ton of work to do... I'll be working all evening and into the night each day this week, but I'll need the long weekend to pull it off.

Sorry, maybe some other time... :excuseme:

As for the pipe... There is always people sporting stock racing pipes and even the louder after market ones. I can't imagine you'd have a problem, but perhaps someone that has been more recently can verify. :prof:

Well, that idea sure fell apart quick! :bonk: Oh well...some other time.

Matt - you won't be so busy you can't get a few hours in on a Sat / Sun. will ya? All work and no play makes Matt a whipped-husband-gonna-be! :p Just going through a house sale myself, I understand completely. Hopefully, you'll find a little time.

RV Forecast: http://www.weather.c...om=search_10day

Union Forecast: http://www.weather.c...om=search_10day

A couple chances for rain (50% or less.) Maybe RV will be open this weekend. I think Union will be good if the forecast sticks.

Razor - not sure how far away you are, but you're always welcome to join us at RV or Union. RV is Iowa...as long as you have tags, you're good. Union is NE private land. $10/day is worth the try if you've never been there.

Keep an eye on the posts and join us if you get the notion. Everyone's more than welcome to ride with us anytime.

So no Bluff Creek on Saturday?

I went and got new brake pads, jet and trans oil from DNS yesterday should be ready to ride somewhere by Saturday.

Any other good spots around within 1.5 hrs of omaha?

What about http://www.razorsedgemx.com/ I think that is about 1 hr from omaha.

I need to ride....Razorsedge is a great place, been down a couple times. I am going over to check out RV today. Hopefully it is dry enough to get a ride in.

There are a couple places in Kansas within 3 hours of here I have been wanting to try like School creek (Milford Lake).

RazorsEdge..hmmmmmmm! That looks fun! Never been there. Turns out that my wife signed me up for something early Saturday morning anyway that I can't get out of (should be done by 9am.) So, that takes BC out of the picture for this Saturday at least.

So, with that, it looks like Razor is only about 79 miles away. I'm down with that! Track, track, track...lovin' the tracks! I'd also be up for RV or Union. Just wanna ride! :ride:

Farragut 10-day: http://www.weather.c...om=search_10day . Looks like a 40% chance of rain on Wed, but then sun, sun, sun. Sunny and 79 on Saturday.

OH YEAH!!! We're planning on being there! Hey...just noticed the "thumbs down." You not going to be there or is the thumbs down an indication of a crappy enduro?

I visited the RazorsEdge website and the track doesn't open until noon anyway. So, since it's only 80 miles, I think we could still make the noon opening time. I'll already have the bikes loaded, etc.

I sent an email to Doug (RazorsEdge owner) asking a status on the track availability on Saturday. I'll let you guys know what he says.

No matter what, as long as I can get out and ride, I'm good.

I didn't notice I did that. I've talked to the clubs president and it's supposed to be one of the best enduros around. Keep your fingers crossed it doesn't get rained out.

RV looked good this afternoon. Dry in the flat, trails muddy in spots. I will be down for a Sat. morning ride at RV. I should be able to make it down by 10 and ride till 12 or 1.

Assuming the 2 - 3 inches of rain they expect DOESN'T fall!

I'm not going to make it out this weekend. Even if I do get enough of the house work done Saturday, I am doing an audit in Chicago all of the following week, which I need to prep for (first one and very good for the career).

Also, due to the Chicago trip and being out of the office all next week, I'm bailing on the Missouri trip to see the soon-to-be in-laws and might hit Winterset. Bailing on Missouri and riding an enduro will be easier to take if I'm good this weekend.

However, we'll see, stranger things have happened. If anyone is riding Sunday or Monday, please drop a post letting me know where your going and if the dirt biking gods shine some love on me, I might meet ya there.

I forgot about the 3 day weekend. I can ride Monday. might be better to plan something down at RV for Monday, because as I type this we are about to get tore up with some nasty storms. Extended forecast doesn't show any more rain before Monday.
