header pipe

I am thinking to take off my header pipe and clean it to get it looking A1 condition. if i take it off do i need to use any exhaust glue or cement when i put it bak on to the engine?? my one at the moment looks lyk it has got some sort of glue or silastic on it??? and pointers???

No glue or cement required. Just give it a good cleaning and stick it back on. :thumbsup:

Not necessary on the cylinder side
But I do use high temp Gasket/sealer by Permenex on the header to rear cannister junction for all aftermkt pipes/header to keep it airtight:thumbsup:

well the pipe is off now, looking really good.. cumming up better than i expected. i cleand the surface that goes into the engine so it should seal up nicely
