after hearing about changing the main to a 170 from many DRZ owners(stock is 142 on the DRZ and DRZE*** even though the service manual says it is a 165****!!)
i honestly could not tell much of a difference. it seemed LESS crisp off the bottom and maybe pulled a little better on the top.
i think i'm gonna go to a 150 or 155 and see how it is.
i'd much rather have it run crisp.
i changed the main jet

air restrictor is off. one more turn from stock on pilot screw. center restrictor on exhaust end cap removed. needle raised(clip dropped) on position.
did you do your mods AFTER your bike was completely broken in or WHILE it was breaking in?
the reason i ask is that i have a feeling many are making the change while the bike is breaking in and are feeling the change from the engine braking in and not from the jet change. i noticed a BIG change in top end power as the engine normally broke in.
of course i could be nuts, too.
i'll ride it more this way and leave it this way 'till i get the 48 pilot also.
