they had some very good things to say about the bike. most riders chose it as their best OVERALL bike. not the best Western bike or the best racer, but the best bike "to do it all on".
by far it was the best Eastern bike.

Here's a post I put on the wr board yesterday...
I read the Cycle World story a few days ago and then today I got the new Dirt Rider with the 24 hour four stroke test. The Dirt Rider story is very comprehensive, you get the opinions of about a dozen different testers of various sizes and skill levels on each bike. Also it's mostly 400 orienated where the Cycle World story is all over the displacement range. The story spans 21 pages and is packed full on every page so there's a lot of good reading there. Dirt Rider is very non-commital (compared to the tell it as it is MXAction) but they actually picked an all around winner. I won't spoil the ending for anyone though. There was one funny part though, they compared some bikes to cars, here's what they said
The KTM400exc is like a BMW
The Husaberg FE400 is a Porsche Turbo
The DRZ400 is a Lexus
The WR400 is a Mustang GT - with a supercharger
