How narrow do you cut your handlebars for riding in hare scrambles? I have been told to cut them down to 27.5"...this seems very narrow. What do you think?

I run full width protapers with handguards on the ends!
At speed wide bars are your friend.. you can use the lenght against the bike for leverage.

I've never had any probs with bars being too wide.. but there seems to be alot of guys the do cut their bars through.. I think its a personal thing..
27.5" sounds a little narrow to me.. whats stock.. 31...30.. (prob 28!! :) )
