Can anyone tell me what graphics seem to fit the best with the IMS 3.3 tank for my WR? My new tank comes in next week and I'm in the market for graphics. I really like the One Industries Retro Yamaha however; I'm not sure how they'll fit. They only list an application for the stock YZ 400 tank.

The graphics I'v been using were for the stock tanks and I had to trim them a little bit but made them work out just fine. These were a special MONTCLAIR YAMAHA pattern made by N-style. I use these since they look excellent and MONTCLAIR understands how tricked out my WZ 420 is, likes the way my scoot is set up and understands how much attention it draws so they provide me with complete graphics packages when I need them. Its amazing at dual sport rides how many people stop and gawk at this bike it even suprized me. But now that the newness of the Yam effect is dwindling and the new KTM / Cannondales are out I have a feeling the inteset will start subside.

You are going to have to trim any graphics you buy for it. Go with a set designed for the YZ tank. I have the One Industry graphics and after some trimming they fit fine.

They have been on since January. However, I am finding they are finally starting to peel off. As the edges get dirty from dust, they start to peel. I just trim them back. But they are getting smaller every ride.

Dougie, '99 WR400 with a lot of dumb, stupid, here take my money, I have to have them but they don't make me a better rider extra mods.

Has anyone tried the clear plastic over the top of the graphics? Also, how do after market graphics differ from stock? The stock graphics on my 1996 XR will bullet proof in terms of peeling and toughness.

Hey Bryan:

I tried clear over my tank graphics and it lasted a while, but eventually bubbled up. Then I went to replace the clear and it pulled the graphics off the tank and they were lost.

I have heard that if you drain the gas from the tank between rides you can keep the bubbles away, but I never tried it.

I have clear on the rad shrouds and it has lasted since the bike was new.

Looks cool Darin! I'm sure that is what I'll go with.

Heywood, I see your point about the graphics coming off with the clear. Sounds like I'll just have to live with it.
