Too bad Kansas is between us Bryan. (sorry Java)

Recommended Posts

I had an unbelieveably good time last week out in Leadville. Although it was rainy most of the week it was still a lot of fun.

If I was typing this out in Leadville I would probably be exhaused just from moving my fingers. How do you all manage out there with the lack of oxygen? They were getting ready to have a 100 mile run when we left! Are they nuts!?

We rode mosquito pass, Mt. Zion, Holy Cross, Rainbow trail and others that I cant remember. I think rainbow was the best but the others were fun also. The scenery out there is killer!

I was scared to death on Rainbow. Im not used to diving to my death if I go off the trail. I wanted to take some pics but it looked like it was getting ready to rain and we didnt want to get caught on the side of the mountain in a rainstorm.

I cant say enough about Bryan. Thanks a bunch for being the guide! Next time we will plan ahead and put some gas out so we can ride the 120 miles.

Amen to that, Darin. Thanks again, Bryan, for guiding us on the Rainbow Trail. Helluva time. We'll have to make it out again fairly soon for some Colorado singletrack. I promise not to hit anyone this time. ?

Ouch!

Darin Dude! Don't you get it! No matter what kind of move Java puts on during a casual ride that causes a crash, if he rides in a higher division and can kick our butts at will, all the digs in the world just don't matter.

HE gets the last laugh!

The only solution is to ride ride ride and try and keep up at least occasionally. Even if it's while he adjusting his equipment or something.

Of course, having the aftermath of that crash on film would have helped our cause just a wee bit.

Next time: Crested Butte, Steamboat, or both!

Bryan...

Hey, guys. There's always someone faster. ?

Don't let Darin sell himself short, Bryan. He's good enough to ride B-class. He's just a humble dude...

You see Bryan, thats all hes got though. Hes got the speed and I got the slams.

Occasionally he comes up with something good but for the most part I can verbally abuse him off the trail as much as possible.

Ive come to the conclusion that Im a C rider forever so I just take the hits and live with it.

Unfortunatly next year I have to go to B class, so can I slam then?

Dude, you name the place and were there. I think Im already making plans to come back in Sept 2001. Lets start planning!!!
