You know, I didn't even think about it, but I could always tell him to send the check to my work address... think he knows what a District Attorney is?   Of course, I'd like copies of his ID, too, and his 'mover's' ID as well... and fingerprints... you know, all that good stuff!  

What is weird is, don't these guys usually want money?  What's the end result of the scam, they get my bike and I get a worthless check?    That almost seems like too much trouble for a scam, to tracable, now I'm curious...

Usually they aske you to send the difference back after deducting your cost and whatever the mover charges.  It's weird how they can't seem to learn english very well, seems like they'd fool alot more people.
