a little bit of funny here

Recommended Posts

Just a little ........

I took my cycle test today and after I passed the instructer goes Hmmmm, rider may bail at any time ..........then it hit me, I have that sticker on the back of the helmet, meant to wear my other one but completely forgot about it. :busted:?

He just looked at me a little funny, I explained it was on the helmet, won it off ebay.

So if your kid or anyone goes to take a test, make sure there are no stupid or offensive stickers on like that. Glad he didn't see it before hand, maybe the test would have been tougher.?

Feels good to be legal again after 25 + years !!

Really stupid test ..... 3 fiqure 8's, stop, shift up to second down the road, come back, your done.

I got my CDL a few years ago and when I did they didnt put my M class on my license. I went in 2 weeks ago to tag the bike and thought I'd get it all squared away. They said Woops but it had expired in the mean time. I've had my M class since I was 16 and now I have to go back and ride for the man again. Did they look over the bike for specific things?

Well in PA they changed the law about a year ago or so, now you must study 1st and answer questions just to get your permit!

That wasn't easy for me. I studied on line and that helped a lot. I was definitly more nervous about the questions then the actual test.

Instructer just asked to see lights, brake light, if I knew where to shut the gas off? and where the kill switch was, oh yea, and horn.

The lady who was giving the test inspected the bikes befor she would let you take the test and if it didn't pass what she was looking for than no licence for you. She wanted to see lights, front and back signals. Brake lights that operated off both front and back brakes one at a time. A horn, An ignition(keyed). All this had to work with the bike off. I'm sure you could go over her head but you still wouldn't be taking the test that day. I borrowed a DRZ 400 off my father for the test just to make it easier to deal with them. My R has no keyed iginition but would have passed everything else I'm sure. While we were standing there as another rider was testing she looked at my borrowed DRZ and said "your coolant is low". "I technicaly shouldn't let you ride as that could cause a problem on the road". Looking at the bike I could see what she was talking about. The overflow bottle had about 1/2 an inch in it and she thought it should be full. I don't think it even has a cap on it, it's just an overflow. Befefor my head exploded trying to explain this to her she said "It's only a simple ajustment so I'll let it go this time". I was never so glad I borrowed a bike instead of my plated R.

I have to take mine before Oct.

I'm skeered.

Don't sweat it! It's easy. Just make sure you don't show up on the bike or he will give you a ticket for riding without a licence and then let let you take the test.:bonk: No joke!! Have a friend pump you there or trailer it. Ive had my M for 25 yrs and always check it before walking out the door.:prof:

Rman....
