UMAGUMADOG:

Haven't ridden those places but would love to. My brother-in-law (lucky chump who has a Y2K WR400 compared to my '98 WR400) and I ride in Ringgold in the National Forest. Can't remember the name of the place but it's open to motorcycles and ATV's only. After 5/15, it was closed to all automobiles. It's a decent place to ride but tomorrow I am hooking up with a guy who lives close to me with an XR400. He is taking us to Bakewell in Soddy Daisy. He says this place is a true test of the WR (which he despises) due to the super tight trails and rough stuff. I told him that his ass was just spoiled by the XR's plush seat and I'll do fine. Unfortunately, we'll be outnumbered (3 XR's, 1 Huskie, 1 KTM, and 2 DR's to 2 WR's). I'll give you a report if we do indeed go and try to uphold the honor of Big Blue! Would love to arrange a Moab South gathering. I am sure that we would have a hell of a time. C-dog just contact us!! You can email me at: rspurling@nsm-seating.com

BTW: Anyone ever ride in Tellico Plains on the Smoky Mountain off-road trails? I've been on it in a 4WD and its great! May be that its the spot for Moab South.

Are there any great riding areas on the east coast that someone could spend a FEW days at?

It would be nice to have an east coast Moab trip.

Bill, remember the Buds Creek deal? Could include that. You know I am game for that.

Richard I'm not sure but it sounds like the place youve been riding in ringold is houston valley. I dont know of any other places in ringold but the pipe lines and popwer lines and they are both closed to the public. I ride there more often than any where and usually do a lot of nite riding there during the summer. I'm looking forward to hearing about your trip to bakewell as I haven't riden there before. also some friends and me are planing to go to telico for a weekend somtime this summer maybe we can get a group up and go together. Any way lets go riding. I'am woking out of town the rest of the week and plan on riding royal blue while I'm there I'll let you know how it is.

Kevin I have never been here yet but from what I've heard Daniel Boone national forest might be a good place. The supposedly have hundreds of miles of trail and one that I know of that is a 52 mile loop it's called the redbird crest trail. According to a ride guide I have Danial Boone is "open to ORV unless posted closed". The forest is located in southern Kentucky and border's Tenn at big southfork for even more riding. This adds up to over 300 miles of woods riding and sounds like it might be centrally located for every one. Has any one on the forum ever rode here? Does it sound like a place any body would be interrested in?

I'd go but I would have to coordinate around my off time. The next available slot I have isn't until October (November?). I work a set rotation, and every six weeks, I get 11 days off.

I am off to MN in 8 days to visit my Mother. The next slot is in August and the family and I are off to FL and Disney. October 4th, I am going to Moab. I am off again as of Nov. 15.

Sounds like we are all interested in having a Southern Moab. I will send a blanket email out to everyone that has posted interest. In the meantime, I would like to get together with some of you interested in riding in the Georgia/Tenn area in the next weekend/weekends. Let stay in contact and determine the best place to ride for our Moab excursion. chillydogg@xoommail.com

Hey Tim, (Chili)

Are you still on for this weekend? Are you heading up to Houston Valley? Will the WR's gang up on the DRZ Boy again this time? I just got a schedule for the North Carolina Hare Scramble Series. We can catch the second half of the series if you want to start in August. You should be ready by then if you keep riding every weekend. I promise I'll stop calling you Gator too.

Hey Chilli,

I've been down to Livingston which is part of Daniel Boone. We rode for 2 days there but never encountered the 52- mile loop you were talking about. Livingston is about 2-1/2 hrs from me, I'm in N. KY and would love to get together with a bunch there. Count me and two others in on this as lon as work schedule complies.

Hey C-dog,

Are you going out riding this weekend? I think that I am going on Sunday instead of Saturday this week. I need tomorrow to fix the tire, finish jetting the new Yoshi Pipe, and get the thing all back together. I am excited about tying out the new modifications.
