I looking to have a new bearing and rod pressed onto my crank -- planning to do the 400 to 426 conversion. Any suggestions on where to take it in the SF Bay Area? I'm trying to avoid shipping it.

Might try Yamaha of Concord. I actually haven't used the mechanic but I was allowed to go back and ask a question a few months ago and he seemed very experienced and had a clean shop. I got the impression he knows his stuff. Do not go to East Bay Motorsports!
