Perhap your brake pad is gone, check it out.
Low brake fluid indicated that your brake pad is thinned.
Or maybe your reservoir is leaking?
Top it up with dot4 brake fluid as shown on the reservoir cover.

Before you take off the reservoir cover, be sure and thoroughly clean the cover and the reservoir itself. You do not want any dirt getting in there. Also, brake fluid LOVES water. It will absorb it quite readily. Don't do this in the rain!!
You may consider using yamaha brake fluid if you are going to top it off. I would not mix brake fluids to be on the safe side.
You may want to consider flushing out the old brake fluid with new stuff. I recommend Motul, but any Dot 3 or 4 should do. Stay away from the Dot 5 synthetic racing stuff. It may do more harm than good. "Racing" doesn't necessarily mean "Better".
99 WR, all YZ mods, de-octopused, OEM YZ tank and IMS seat, jetting by Clark, got forked by Pro Action.
For clarification: WE'LL be having a KICK ASS time in Moab!! Right Mitch?!!

That's right. Don't use Dot 5, you cannot mix it with Dot 3 or 4. Also Dot 5 will give a little mushy brake lever feel.
