jet kits

i want more snap out of my xr650l without changing the carb i have a 14-48 gear and a 675 bore kit what else can i do i have a pipe to but no haed pipe any suggestions

you didn't mention whether you have a stock carb or aftermarket carb ...if it is still stock and you don't want to change it your really going to be hard pressed to find any improvements to be made other than doing "daves mods" if you haven't already did it.

have you rejetted yet? do either the dynojet kit or daves mods.

dave, you see cleonard's post (cant remember where it is) about him using one of the existing coils to power the cdi?

I saw him mention using a transformer, haven't heard if it worked.

no, one of the lighting coils on the bike.

I think he was talking about attaching a transformer to one of the stator windings.

Connecting it directly didn't provide enough oomph.
