Hey milkman, lets RIDE!

Recommended Posts

Hey Darin in Mo.

Lets ride!

Want to show this Colorado boy some fine Missouri riding?

I'll be in Columbia late Saturday, 07/29 and will be leaving Fri, 08/04.

So, I can ride Sunday 07/30 thru Thurs, 08/03. Which day is best for you? I can meet you after work during the week or can probably talk the family into getting ditched on Sunday if that's the best day for you.

How far do you live from that riding area near Columbia?

Im ready to do it Bryan! I live about 3 hours (estimate) from the place your talking about in Columbia. I live in Springfield, MO if you want to look it up on a map.

I think you are talking about Finger Lakes. Ive never rode there but I heard it sucks.

The best place to ride is down here (and belive me, Im not just bias)is at Chadwick, MO. That is if you like rocks.

You pick the day and the time that suits you best and i will clear my schedule.

I should be getting back from riding out there in your stomping grounds right before you come out. Mabye we can hook up there first. Im not sure what our itenerary is yet but when I do Ill let you and Dougie and whoever else wants to meet up know.

Our Colorado ride is August 13-19th.

Rocks? My WR LAUGHS at Rocks!

Would you prefer a Mo. ride on Sunday or is during the week OK?

Is Chadwick 3 hours from Columbia? Is there somewhere in between to ride?

If not I could probably ditch the family for an entire day.

Milkman, I'll be out in the Divide area from the 16th of august to the 23rd. Let me know if your up for a mid week ride and hope Bryan, Dougie or any of the other Colorado riders can make a ride.

Bryan, do the Chadwick ride, you won't be disapointed. Better now before commrade Clinton get's his hands on it.

Dont even think that TW! If dumbass gore or clinton even thinks about that I dont know what I would do with my life! ?

I tell you what TW, if you are anywhere near the sugarloaf campground (in leadville) on those dates stop in and ask which camping spot "Darin House" has reservations in and Im sure they will point you in the right direction. That would probably be the easiest way to hook up.

When did you ride out here TW?

Bryan,

I would actually prefer to ride on Sunday. Days through the week wouldnt be good because Im not sure if i could get off work or not.

I have rode every place there is to ride in MO (except finger lakes) and there is only one place even close to between me and you and that is Flat river, MO. Its located south of St. Louis about an hour in Farmington, MO. All it is though is sand and a few trails. It looses its challenge real fast. The only real good time to ride there is during an enduro.

Chadwick is about 40-45 minutes from where I live (in Springfield). I know its a strecth to drive another 3 and a half hours after you drive from CO, but its really the only good place to ride.

All right Darin, it sounds like I'll have to start working the Sunday angle to Chadwick.

I should probably get your phone number so we can make plans? E-mail me at ThumperTalk.com?

Should be fun!

For your low altitude I'm thinking YZ timing, 48 pilot, DVP needle at #5, 180 main?

Im sure you have an aftermarket pipe as I do. All I done for jetting was put in a 180 main as you suggested and left all the rest at stock settings.

Stoked to meet you dude!

Hey MM and TW,

Hope we can hook up while you are out here. I'm sure a couple of us will be able to get a ride in with you.

I won't be around the weekend of the 13th but I should at least be able to get a day or two in the following weekned. Keep us posted on your plans.

I am getting very excited about mountain riding. The snows are just about gone and we should be able to get up there very soon. I'm bored with Rampart.

Bryan, Sounds like an excellent plan you got going there.

Branson is only about an hour south of Springfield. You wont miss anything if you dont go to Branson unless you like old country music and shopping. ?

The 30th sounds like a plan then.

What time do you want to meet on the 30th and I will set up a place. Cool?

Cant wait dude!

I have your phone number. I'll give you a call this week sometime. When is the best time to call?

What kind of registration do I need to ride in Missouri? I have a Colorado green sticker AND a Colorado license plate, registration etc. Do I need more than all that?

Birth certificate? Green card? Proof of US citizinship? Finger prints? Money for bribes? First born?

Do they enforce noise ordanances in Missouri? My White Bros e-series isn't exactly like a new DRZ: soft and quiet.

First off, as far as registration goes you dont need anything except your bike and a $5 daily use permit that we get at a little convience store right before you get to chadwick.

Believe it or not I have never heard of anyone being hassled about noise/not having a spark arrestor down there untill TODAY!

Someone told me there was a ranger down there issueing tickets to everyone that didnt have a legal spark arrestor on their bike. I dont even know if that is true or not but none the lass you are covered with the E-Series pipe anyways.

I will try to give you a ring here in a bit.
