Where do these Mefos come from?

but they are made in Germany.

I'm sure in time when more companies start handling them the price might come down (I hope) some but right now this place is about the only one I know that sells them in USA.

Cut the price in 1/2 though if you get double the milage of most tires and they are in the ballpark for sure.

Is the front tire a bit wider then a stock one or the same size?

My bike didn't have the stocker on when bought, so not sure of stock size.

The free shipping is like having 10-12 bucks off a tire s that maks the deal a bit sweeter, not for me though ?

I think you have to buy 2 tires or over a certain amount to qualify. If you got 2 tires, I got free shipping from them the last 2 times. Ask them about it and see if it "jogs" their memory. They were pretty good about it and that is why I went back to them again.

How recent? I just ordered mine (2 tires)a bit over a week ago. I even asked how much shipping was and no metion that it was free, think she said 23 bucks.

No shipping charge , so really it's like taking 10 bucks off each tire.

My rear is a 120/80X18 though, not a 130 .

Front tread is 2 plies nylon, rear 3 plies. Guess that (says TREAD, not sidewall) means the whole tire though, sidewall and all

So the 130 has about 3/8" (10MM) taller sidewall, is that what that means ?

How much road air pressure do you guys run ?

The 130 is 10mm wider than the 120, if they are both "80" tires, the 120 is 0.8x120 or 96mm tall, and the 130 is 0.8x130 or 104mm tall.

I just read where you got your new meats installed about an hour ago but haven't had a chance to ride it yet. Let us know what you think after you take if for a spin. Also, are you running stock wheels? How's the clearance on the new Mefos?

Yep, stock wheels. Clearence is fine, I have abot 3/8 " at the bottom front of the chain guard, as in pic. ON/Off's on here are just a bit wider, (120 verses 130) his might of rubbed just a hair or have like an 1/8 " gap ?

BTW, what road pressure should I run, at least 25lbs, On/Off ?

Like my new nickel plated chain?

It should ride like a cadillac now, being that my rear was really worn and had a DOT Michelin AC 10 knobbie on the front, the AC 10 ........no good at all for the road, it wears REALLY quick.

Nuthin nicer than a new set of rubber. I run a lot of high speed highway and keep mine around 36lbs. I have heard of guys who ran low pressures at high speed for a while that had chunking or cracking due to heat from more flexing? Mine seem to be wearing well at higher pressures, but if running a lot of dirt, I would probably air down to the 20s and bring it back up for slab. Keep us posted! If in mud, keep up your revs to clear the tread and you will be surprised what that back tire can do. Front can wallow or slide in messy mud so watch our front end washout in those conditions. OVERALL, I am VERY happy with mine. Hey a couple video clips for ya!

I read that same thing too onoff but don't forget our bikes are a good deal lighter then those bikes I think and not sure if we need the max tires will take?

I took it out last night and it is DEFNITLY one smooth tire. It rides every bit as smooth as the battlex street tires I have on my 700S Nighthawk, no kidding, they just can't get any smoother! ?

Now as they get older I can't say if they get a bit noisy or what but that's my outlook right now on them.

I'm still "scrubbing them in" I think it's called so didn't push them in the corners or anything yet. I'm running mine at 32R 30F for now but am going to make two calls to both dealers to see what they suggest.
