Black after hard use for two years held up great but, it doesn't look as nice on the bike as silver does. The silver turned color and spotted after going to Pismo.

My Yoshimura stainless header turned kinda brown and has dirt cooked on. Then again, I haven't cleaned it.....ever. It has heat shield posts, too.

Just don't do what I did and make a custom heat shield out of 1/8" stainless perforated sheet. On a long pull the header expanded, the shield didn't, and it broke one of the rear post out of the header. Now it has a big ugly weld right there where I had to fix it.
