Anyone got a steer on the coolant temperature sensor? We are trying to work though a poor start/stalling issue on 3.0 ... Have been through the loom with contact cleaner and dilectric grease; now down to the inputs for the ECU. Suspects are the air temp sensor and coolant temp sensors.
Local dealer looked totally when we asked if he could look at this in his workshop, I suggested he hook it up to the diagnostics computer to check fault codes etc He looked even blanker! Think I am going to have to buy my own VDST unit ...
Meantime, alternatives for the air and coolant sensors would be appreciated. Alfa/FIAT/GasGas perhaps ?
Water temperature isa NTC Weber unit part number WTS05, air temperature sensor made by same, part number ATS05. The water temp sensor is common on FIAT Alfa Romeo cars and Ducatis to name but a few. I beleive the ATS is the same.
