All I can say is I wish I would have done this a year ago.The bike feels way better with this seat on! it is so easy to move around on and get up on the tank it helped out alot in the turns and basically everywhere else.This mod is a must for this bike. The SGD seat base could have fit a little better.Getting the tab that hooks under the frame is on an upward angle iand is a pain in the ass to get in I think I am going to cut it a little shorter or take a heat gun to it. the seat brackets on mine actually fit right on and lined up no problem.I am very pleased with this mod. Thanks for the recomendation gentlemen

anthing to rid the 06-08 of the low saddle feel is a improvement. Amazing how it helps this bike corner better....enjoy

I have both the SDG standard density and a Gutz soft - tall foam seats...

Getting forward on the bike has always been the key. The flatter seat makes it easier. Unfortunately, I don't have the landing gear for the taller ones.

Have you tried one at all ? you never know? I am not that tall well maybe for a wop. Just under 6'2" This changed the bike for me I'm grinning ear to ear

I'm about 4" shorter than you, and getting shorter. (mostly from the waist up). But I'll try anything (sensible) once. If I see one I can ride, I'll try it out.

Jason, don't modify your seat base yet. I have one and after it was on for a while it goes on and off with no problem. It seems to have "fit" itself.
