Put on a Lexx Slip on exhaust, sounds absolutely great. Little bit of a power boost from it. Also installed the Applied racing ais removal kit and tinkered with the carb some, and the bike is 1000x better. Only real issue i have left to solve is that wonderful impeller shaft leak and she should be ready to ride!

Got the new adaptor to fit a newer yz number plate.

What is the adapter and where did you get it?

For my 2004 triple clamps it bolts on the front so u can mount the newer style number plate. If you take the headlight off. I did for racing. It's from applied racing

Rejetted my 2007 WR450F

main 162 to 165

pilot 45 to 48

stock needle shimmed with a washer (at most 1 clip position if it had them)

leak jet 60 to 50

fuel screw 2 turns out

o-ring added to accelerator pump arm

I also removed the plastic piece under the airbox snorkel (which was previously removed) to open the airbox even more.

The bike has a full Pro Circuit Ti-4 exhaust and I'll be installing a quiet insert when it arrives.

I ride at 4800 ft to 7000 ft, 30F to 80F. Mostly about 5500 ft and 50F. I do want to ride it in Baja in January, sea level to 2000 and up to 80F(?). Please let me know if I'm off on the jetting. Should I get a NCVS or NFLR needle before putting it back together? Does it need different starter and pilot air jets?

I just bought it, my first 4 stroke dirt bike besides dual sports from long ago, and I only rode it once. I found it lacked power in the low to mid range. It has the usual WR mods (throttle stop, grey wire, snorkel). I have been riding 2 stroke 250s for years, and my YZ250 makes more low-mid than this 450.

Took apart the back end to clean and lube all bearings (it had never been done on this bike - ever) and clean up all the aluminum pieces. Should have taken the carb off to clean it as long as I was in there but said "eh." It starts and runs fine as is.

Can you find the Blue in the sea of European bikes ?   At least this ride had a couple 4ts in it - usually it is just my WR and a bunch of 2ts.

The snow is gone on the south facing slopes.  A lot of climbing to get up this high.   That grass is slippery where the frost is out.  Pin it and hold on.  Fun times.

Everyone is running studs in these pictures, even if you can't see them.

Yes it was snowing in the last picture.   We saw sun, snow, sleet and ice pellets several times throughout the day.  Covered a bit under 25 miles.  Great ride.

Man, some of you guys have nice places to ride. Florida (where I am, anyway) really kind of sucks for the most part.

Good luck at the DMV, rear turn signals on motorcycles in California have to be nine inches apart that's why the closest you will ever see are mounted on the outside edges of the license plate.
