Got my ass kicked by a bunch of guys 10+ yrs my senior ..... I am only 41 dammit !!

Those guys can ride .

https://youtu.be/L5p1F9cBIeg

OK maybe it was only 5+ yrs

 Had a great weekend

Stony%20TT%20Trip%20March%202015%20041_z

The new tank worked great , bike ran awesome other than an occasional idling issue at altitude .

Next mod is a new seat .......... tired of my ass hurting , especially at the start of the second day of riding  .

Thanks , yep this is/was Disneyland for us Norcal riders .
It would be really awesome if it would stop catching fire every few years .

New MegaBomb header, Power core 4 hex and comp ecu. Tuner comes Tuesday.

I also removed the snorkel and the mounting plate. Anyone have any estimate on hp gains I'll get from these mods from stock?

Made a little progress on the bike today...put carb back on, powdercoated clutch cover and shock spring and new sprockets. Time to get sub-frame back on, pour in some fluids and hope she starts!

I'm trying to get her done today and had a question on '07-'11 AIS removal and the hoses. Sorry if this seems redundant, but 90% of the instructions out there are for the older models and the other posts I've found don't show the complete process.

Does port "E" Continue to run to the air box, and which ports do you block off?

I think I have this correct, A goes to B , C goes to D ... E goes to ??? and you block off ???

Thanks!

I actually took my new-ish 2012 wr450 out for a ride in the dirt. This  is a big deal considering I have only ridden sportbikes my whole life. Im hooked! And to think, I only bought this thing to convert it to a supermoto!

went about installing a new Trailtech Vapor unit today.  Got to the home stretch and went to refill the bike with coolant.  While the rads were off, I noticed one was bent so I tried hamfisting it back into its proper position.  Bad idea.  Coolant started leaking out of the bottom weld seam on the left radiator.  Now I'm waiting on a set off ebay.  Good times.

Got it, thus A & D are venting to the bottom of the air box.

Thanks!

Finally got her back together and 95% done. Just a few tweaks left and I'll be ready to tackle the trails. The Rekluse clutch is wild, I can't wait to see how it performs on a crazy steep climb. Jetting feels spot on, surprised I got it right the first time.  :)

First proper ride after months of tinkering. What a beautiful machine, so much easier to ride than my old WR250.

The day I put it on ..

What kind of tape are you using to wrap and protect your steel frame?  Tennis racket tape, baseball bat tape, bicycle road bike tape?  I think all those would work but I haven't tried any yet.

btw I like your 619 decals - (San Diego!)
