Installed a Rekluse Z-Pro Start auto-clutch on my 2005 WR450F.
Took it out for the required break-in, gap check and a little play riding.
Rekluse doesn't make the EXP 3.0 (their newest version) for my 05 WR, so I went with the Z-Pro Start.
What a hoot! I never realized how much I used the clutch while riding. Now I have to develope a whole new set of reflexes, because I don't need to hold the clutch the way I used to.
It's really cool when you come into a wash with loose rocks. You just slow down, focus on where you want to go and pick your way through.
I understand its a bad habit to get into because it is supposedly a lot harder on the clutch, but its amazing how you can just leave it in 3rd gear in the rough stuff and just motor through.
With a standard clutch the engine would be lugging and a down shift would be needed. But because the clutch is sensitive to engine speed not wheel speed, it can slip and not lug the motor.
You just about have to ride it to understand what I'm trying to say.
I know they are a little pricey, but from my research they appear to be very well built and last a long time.
If your on the fence about buying one, I would highly recommend it.
