Well im going to try and sum this up somewhat.
Back at the end of may in 2005 i got really sick and went to the hospital expecting them to give me some meds and get out of there. Turns out 3 months later they would let me go. In june i was transfered to my reg room and put in ICU. I was heavly sedatided and do not remember anything for 3 weeks. I woke up out of sedation and had to learn how to re walk all over agian. I was on a vehnilator and septic and reallly was not supposed to make it. Long story shot i recovered.. Started getting my stregth back. When i was relased the docs told me it could take up to a year to get my stregth back.
It has been a year and i was able to start riding in jan of 07. So i started riding...taking it easy and what not. But for some reason im still getting really tired out there on the track. And it seems like my confidence has gone down since the last time i rode before getting sick.
I have been riding bikes to try and stay in shape.
just wondering what some inputs are from people on how to regain confidence and feel comfortable on my bike again and trying to not get as tired from 15 min motos

1st off congrats for hanging in there and making it. What happened to you? It will all come in time none of us here have probably had anything close to this going on with our bodies. Im sure what happened took a toll on your muscles etc. just take it slow and keep your chin up and let it come to you. No sense in pushing your limits and ending up hurt again. Just ride, ride, ride and lift weights, throw some cardio in there and next thing you know, you will be better than ever.

it was kind of a weird way I happend to get sick. I just woke up one morning and ate breakfast like normal and then like a couple of hours I felt really nausious. So I thought hmm. Then the next day came and I was just feeling really nausious and it would come and go and I thought it was maybe something I ate and so I thought I would let it sit for a week and if it didnt get better I would get it check out and then I threw up and went to the hospital and they ran tests and had no idea what was wrong. Finally like 2 weeks into the hospital stay they said I have chrones disease and ulsorative cholitous (not sure about the spelling= basically it means my intestins and cholen are infected and get ulsors)
So I went home to california to hang out and rest for a week ( im currently in trade school and took a 3 week leave)
Came back to school and the same thing happend again. So I went back to the hospital and they kept running tests. And I was getting worse and worse and they had no idea. I lost a total of 55 lbs and when I was sudated in the ICU I ruptured my accending cholen and had to have around 6 pints of blood transfered and almost didnt make it becuase of the blood lose.. And they rushed me into surgury and fixed it.
The outcome came to not being able to walk.. I had to have help with everything. I weight 93 lbs when I got out of the hospital and looked like a twig. And I was fairly young 19.. And weight 150 when I started but I have been working at it. It is kind of a blessing in discuise becuase I eat alot better and am at a steady 135 and am feeling better then ever and am starting to get my body into the shape that I want.
