i love your set up...i have the white clark tank that has'nt been utilised...

at times i just want my bike to be big monstrous...like what i did to mine...maybe to add dual mufflers in the near future would be complete...

but at times...i just wanna make it very light and race ready...but somehow no race has been officially happening just yet...

I never get tired of watching this thread! I bought my 06 XR650R in the crate this April and just now finally have all my parts in hand and the bike is currently getting everything installed at the dealership I work for. I've got the following going on as I write this:

Acerbis Cyclops headlight (red/black)

Clear LED turn signals front and rear (amber LEDs)

Acerbis LED rear tail/brake light

Hydraulic brake switch on front brake master cylinder

Universal Turn signal/horn/high low beam switch with integrated relay

universal horn

trail tech vapor speedo/tach

and the offroad stuff

Moose skidplate

Works connection rad braces

Acerbis Multilplo bark busters

Pro taper CR high bend bars

Pirelli Scorpion MT-21 tires

and the Edelbrock qwiksilver pumper carb

Should be ready to be plated by the end of next week!!!

I loved the bike before and I can't wait to be able to ride it without having to truck it to the offroad areas!?

I'll post pics soon as she's done...

still haven't have time to fit the rack...

initially fitted the WB E2 exhaust...but remove it and sold it off,...love the power with the silencer...but not really like the sound and power after removing the silencer..

but as of tonite...i will be doing some milege count on the XR...

Leaving in a few hours time,i will be riding to KohSamui Thailand on the XR...i have taken a week leave from duty...

will be riding mostly on the highways and trunk roads...

this would be my 1st solo ride that will cover estimated 3000++ kms....i hope the bike will not give any breakdowns...

i've put on the Givi 45l top box instead of using backpack...looks goofy...but well, less burden and its 100% waterproof...all the clothes, footpump, sparetubes, tools, basiclly everythg just fit there...

Yeah it is, how do you like it? Why did you remove the auto- decomp?

Terraflex is awesome. See my review https://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?p=5282794#post5282794

I removed the auto-decompressor because it would start decompressing sometimes at low rpms. It would also do it when trying to start and make it very difficult.

How did you know it was engaging at lower rmps? Did it stall the motor?

I ask because I get some awful rapping/clunking noise when I lug mine.

Thanks for the review on the tire, I might have to try one.

I did a ton of research on TT and called xrs only. The worst symptom was when it would stall out, it would feel as if I pull pulling the manual decompresser. This made it incredibly hard to start because there was no compression! I wouldn't go to the work of pulling it off unless you are dead sure it is the auto decompresser.

I didn't get an awful noise as you describe.
