Just bought what I was told is an 04 model. How can I tell what year it is by looking at the VIN or manufacturer date? Its a stock model with very little wear anywhere, no scratches on the skidplate or anything. Any help is appreciated.

The tenth digit is indeed a number, and represents the year! A 4 would indicate an 04 model.
