I really do not see this as a Potassium problem.
If you eat right, eat your fruits and veggies and have
normal kidney function your K should be correct.
I think exercise, fluids and a Aleve about two hours before you ride
work much better.
Scotts dampner and a rubber mounted bar system would/should help.

When do you get arm pump? After how much riding?
There are many things that can cause it. I get arm pump if I ride a bike that is too snappy off the bottom. I also get arm pump if I haven't hydrated well or if my suspension is set up too stiff.
Fitness also has a lot to do with it. I used to only be able to get 5 or 6 laps at the local track before I couldn't hang on. But when my fitness is good (like now) I can go 20 minutes fairly easily.
I also used to get it pretty bad when I was exercising regularly using a rowing machine. After I stopped rowing and stuck to running or the elliptical the early arm pump was gone.

theres a lot to cause arm pump... i use to get it bad and fast.... seat time helped me out now all that starts hurting me is my knuckles after awhile... just keep riding and start drinking bottles of water a couple days before u actually go out and ride.... stretch ur forearms too before u are about to ride
