Hey all. Would anyone be interested in trading my '03 WR450 for a XR650R? I'm the 2nd owner having owned the bike for about a month now. The original owner is in his 50s and took meticulous care of this bike. The bike is just a bit too snappy for me. I'd like to get back on a XR. Please no flame jobs.lol Thanks.

Luke, come to the dark side... You have felt the force, and it is strong.

No flame job here.. "Welcome backs" when you find your XR.

lol I too felt the draw, but the hit of the accelator pump, is just too hard to resist. that and I'm a dune junkie, the 650R isn't so great for the dunes, especially with this tank

so I have both:ride:

There's an idea! Only I don't know what I'd get rid of to get the 650R. Hmmmmm..

just ad to the stable, looks like you have an impressive collection going now. I'm working on it, but need a street bike or two, if only $$$ grew on trees

I'm in Lancaster. That is a bit of distance between the two. At this time I'm not really interested in trading... I need the cash for a project at the moment. Let me know if you are interested. I am in the process of putting on new plastics and possibly a cam to get it ready to sell.

No cash is my problem AND too many projects. Maybe I'll try adding some flywheel weight to this bike to make it a little "XR like". I like the WR, it's just that I REALLY like the big-block style power of the 650R. Lots of low RPM torque makes for killer through the gears wheelies!

Well, I've decided to sell the WR. Gonna try and find a CA plated 650R. I really need a dual sport rather than a dirt only bike.

Well, it's a done deal! Mr. Foley and I traded bikes. I'm now the proud owner of a plated '01 XR650R.:applause: It's from Arizona so now I just gotta figure out how to get it through the DMV here in Commiefornia. If it does'nt fly, I'll still have a killer dirt bike plus I have my XR650L powered '84 XL600 to fall back on for dual sport duty.
