I was trying to replace the throttle cable on a Mikuni Flatside because I thought it was sticking, when I got the tank off and got to the top of the carb it seemed the the throttle cable was fine. So I put the top of the carb back on, sealed with some gasket stuff, adjusted the throttle cable on the top of the carb then at the grip. The bike started right up and idled fine. When I twist the throttle moderately it takes gas fine and revs fine, but when I punch the gas and twist it hard and quick-it bogs and almost cuts off. It didn't do this before. I tried adjusting the fuel screw and the idle screw but it still does it.
Any ideas on where I went wrong? It has to be something simple.

Please help......

well it sound's like that we both have the same problem, i posted almost the same problem, and i'm getting no response, i'm pretty sure that the stock carb has alot of issues on those bikes, if i'm not mistaken it comes down to having the jetting set as needed. Does your bike spit gas when you are starting it....

I don't have the stock carb, I have a Mikuni. It doesn't spit gas and it starts easy
