Howard Huge, are you talking about old man Fred Sumrall from Forest Hill? If you are, he's the same Fred that holds the Sumrall 200

ride every June up at Forest Hill with our club RUTS. He's fast! He's sixty someodd years old and can open a can of whoop on most thirty year olds I know of. Us Rutsters love riding up there at forest hill, it's a 9 hour drive from So.Cal but definately worth the drive and Fred and his family really put on a fun weekend of food riding and fellowship. Eric, thats the Fred I know and love! He always says a prayer before the start of Dist. 36 Hare Scrambles events. I have the utmost respect for that man, and his riding ability at any age is awesome :D Hope to see him Sunday in San Jose at the Prime Time Hare Scrambles. I haven't seen him in awhile since Sapiago Springs. How's his arm doing last time it was in a cast ? Its a small world isn't it.

Prime Time H.S. was excellent they were able to water a large portion of the motocross and grand prix tracks making for some slippery going. The course itself was about 1/3 single track, with some faster two track. the course length was 8.4 miles long It was my first race as a B rider racing with the A sportsman is a humbling experience, Cole Marshal took the overall, I finished 44th o/a 4th vet B. Fred Sumrall was there I did spend some time talking to him and did mention Erik from so cal and our website. All in all it was a great day :D Sapiago springs last year was actually muddy throught the course with some bike sticking bogs to contend with, had a great time there too. ? Dist 36 races are hard to beat.

I'd like to go too. Where's Stonyford located? How's the weather that time of the year? (probably rainy huh?) I've only been riding up there in June,(mostly dusty) does it snow up there in late November or is it lower elevation stuff? I've been to Georgetown and the riding was great there too,(the trails seemed a lot less ridden on than Forest Hill). How's Stoneyford compare? is it more technical?, or more trees, or better dirt? or what? Are there trails my wife can ride? (she rides an xr200) and is pretty passive and slow when she rides. We've been to Kennedy Meadows and she couldn't ride much because most of the trails were too narrow and rocky for her.

What are the camping ammenities like? Erik

Monty - My wife Anja & I will try and make it to Stonyford at Thanksgiving for at least a day. Probably won't be able to overnight as my folks will be in town - Santa Rosa - and my sister should have just delivered twins.

Eric - bring your wife please. My wife rides a XR250 and it would be great for her to ride with some other women around. I'm guessing Eva, monty's wife, will be there as well.
