Rox Speed FX 2" risers

just got em today! being 6'5" i needed something to bring the bars up and forward. then i saw the post by this fine company to try either their 2" or 1 1/4' risers. i picked 2". put em on and went out for a ride. i LOVE these things! standing position is where it feels best. i dont have to hunch down with my gorilla arms anymore! very stable, no flex, great looking pieces of machined aluminum. the adjustability is very nice! wide range of positions available with these risers. hiway riding is way better, my forearms are parallel to the ground(this is a bonus for me!) Cables plenty long enough or is that about the limit for some?

Is that a Maytag ? Neptune washer I see in the last pic?

they are maytags, not sure if they are the neptunes tho. i bought em for 100 bucks in a storage unit auction and only had to put a belt on the washer(2 yrs ago!). you had a bad exp.??

oh yea the cables were plenty long, no adjustments needed for cables or wiring either! if you are tall, gotta get some!?

The WORST product I ever bought in my life !!

Paid 1100 for the washer and in 3 years it was shot!!

1000's of consumers had the same problems too ........

main control board would malfuntion

wax door latch thing would stop working and you could not get your wash out ?

coins would jam in small filter and tub would not empty

water would sit in rubber door seal and start to mildue after a while (we never had that problem though)

Some things happened twice in those years !

Sorry to rant on about this but just want to leave ya know what you might be in for and besides, it still sits in our basement, so if you need parts, look me up ?

I like em but I'm not a monster like you, I'm only 6' even, not sure I would benifit from them but did notice on highway I get a kink in the back of my neck after a while, not sure if taller bars would help or not ?

ya i think it will help on the hiway with the kinks in the neck. wow i didnt realize the issues with those things! to be honest they have been flawless in these last two years!

I just did the same thing.....I went with the 2" as I am 6-4. I rode the brp around the block and a little on my horse trail. It feels great, can't wait to go on a full ride

What gas cap are you running there and why ?

Just so you don't have to mess with the key all the time?

You might want to run just a inline vent ?

I'm talking the CAP, not tank. Cap is not stock on yours.

Here is a link ........ a bit pricey for what they are, think you can find them cheaper . I just think it looks much nicer then the hose.

Those inline breathers are prone to cloging:thumbsdn: If cloged the bike will intermitly stop as it will stop fuel flow. Spent half a day thouble shooting this when I could have been riding:bonk: . Never had any issues with just a breather hose on a clark gas cap.

May be true, I used them for years though with out issues.

Breather hose tucked down into the front frame tube is inexpensive and effective. Cost about .50c, works great. ?

Ok I received my Rox riser today. 1-1/4". Very nice pieces! top notch finish. Parts where de-burr perfectly even on useless places where it would be next to impossible to cut you a finger. Well pack in their bag including bolts and washer. A nice detail about the bag they came in is that the bag seal the bolts/washer away from the aluminum parts so they don't get all scratch in handling and transport by the SST hardware, nice care of detail.

Installation went nice and took me about 10-15 minutes. During the installation I of course took a 12mm wrench to remove the old bolts. But when I put the Rox stuff bolt where not 12mm but 13mm (had to change wrench) no big deal. Other thing that I notice is that the bolts holes in the aluminum riser seems a litlle big. Could be a little smaller. Had much more free play in it than upper stock honda part. No big deal here. Maybe the same riser is used for std bolts used in some snowmobiles.

Risers solved some problems I had with the handguard bracket hitting my clarke 4 gal. tank. Problem solved. All cables and wires do fit ok without re-routing any of them on my bike.

For a ride review it will came later cause im now fitting an Ktm Lc4 rear rack on it and rear end of the bike is apart.

Here you go Martin ......... (had to downsize them a bit, they were ? HUGE )

I like the puzzle fitment kind where you also get a new top clamp but then they of course cost more money also.

Puzzle fitment...Humm maybe to keep parts cost down. And its maybe useless to have it puzzle fit. On a setup like this maybe the bolts will shear off before bending handlebars or anything else. With puzzle fitment parts and bolts will not shear off and maybe broke more costly parts around? Just my own thought...

For sure that's the reason.

.........not only the puzzlement part I like but the fact that the top clamps are recessed to accept the allen type of bolts.

You would have to be in a baaaaad crash to do what your describing, it's more a "do you want to spend the extra money" type of deal and for me and yes, I would.

The negative part of both, for me anyway, is that while you are moving them higher, you are moving them closer, I'd rather find some that are offset that while rasing them they are being moved forward a bit too.
